⛵ Romería Barquera — Sunday, September 20 The most meaningful day of the fiestas. A maritime procession honours the Virgen de las Mercedes, with locals dressed in white walking her image down to the sea, accompanied by traditional dance groups, music, and folklore. If you only catch one event, make it this one — it’s one of the island’s most authentic traditions.
